They start walking promptly at 6:00, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. Day of the Dead/ Fet Gede Celebration: New Orleans Healing Center; 2372 St. Claude Ave.; 5:30 – 10:30 p.m. For years, La Source Ancienne Ounfo – A New Orleans based Vodou society – has celebrated the Day of the Dead/Fet Gede with an annual Vodou ceremony to invoke the Gede. It is soothing and reassuring to know that our Dead are not gone, and that we can come together in community to honor and visit with them. In return, our memory of the Dead keeps their spirits alive and present. All night: Experience the New Orleans Healing Center and the many businesses and organizations that comprise it in a whole new light. Our Grand Hall will be decked for the occasion and will also have some vendors set up for shopping. All Souls on All Saints Day Mobile Altar Procession: The Phoenix; 941 Elysian Fields Ave.; 7 – 9 p.m. The Big Easy Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be leading a mobile altar procession of remembrance of All Souls on All Saints Day Tuesday November 1st from 7-9PM. Procession starts at neutral ground across from The Phoenix/Mags 940 on Elysian Fields. First stop is The New Orleans AIDS Memorial in Washington Square Park where we will offer a blessing of remembrance. From there we’ll proceed through the Quarter/Marigny and ends where it ends. This event is FREE and Open to ANYONE. Bring an offering of remembrance for anyone (even a beloved pet) to place upon our mobile altar (All offerings whether an object, picture, or note are kept safe in reverence for use in future remembrances) Masking, Dress, Costume, or makeup is always encouraged and Not required but should be appropriate to the celebration or with your own twist.

The Cruise ship’s first Contestant, Hashtagone, is a young, unmarried, underpaid, pregnant woman attempting to access care. She must endure a cruise with a series of game show rounds, a six-hour purgatory wait and invasion by anti-choice pirates. Once the cruise ship reaches the Neutral Waters, Hashtagone may receive care if she has met the arbitrary requirements. Along with the shenanigans, Mandated Participants must attend the Operating Theatre. The Participants consists of the Father of the Pregnancy (FOP), Hashtagone’s Mother, an off-the- street Advocate, A Judge, A Feminist, and an Anti-Choice antagonist. Lobby Lighting Ceremony: The Roosevelt Hotel; 130 Roosevelt Way; 5 p.m. Be a part of the magic as our block-long, gilded Waldorf Wonderland Lobby comes to life for the 2022 holiday season. Join locals and international guests as we celebrate another great year at The Roosevelt and continue our tradition at the annual lobby lighting ceremony on Tuesday, November 29 at 5:00 pm. Irma Thomas, The Roosevelt’s official lobby lighter this year, will kick off the holiday season with the flip of a switch, igniting the lobby in sparkling lights. The public is invited to experience the lobby lighting, which will take place by 5:15 p.m., followed by a champagne toast. The block-long lobby display will feature more than 112,000 lights, 1,600 feet of garland and 4,000 glass ornaments adorning the beloved Waldorf Wonderland in the hotel’s grand lobby. No reservations necessary.
